Yet, having high cholesterol and triglyceride levels can increase the odds of a person succumbing to a stroke and developing heart disease.Common Factors which can increase the likelihood of a person having high cholesterol and triglyceride levels are heredity, (which is one of the most common reasons behind having both high cholesterol and triglyceride levels), consuming foods which are high in saturated fat and cholesterol, partaking in excessive alcohol consumption, and weight issues (obesity is known to increases a person's risk for having both high cholesterol and triglyceride levels).
